Who We Are:
The Seniors Take Action Coalition is a volunteer-driven, not-for-profit organization committed to improving the lives of older adults in Richmond County. We believe that every senior deserves to feel respected, connected, and empowered to live a healthy, active, and fulfilling life.
Our coalition brings together seniors, community leaders, organizations, and volunteers who share a common goal: creating a community where older adults are supported, heard, and valued. By working collaboratively, we advocate for positive change, promote age-friendly initiatives, and help connect seniors with the resources and services they need.
Together, we are building stronger communities where seniors can continue to contribute, thrive, and enjoy the highest possible quality of life.
Since we do not operate from a dedicated physical facility, we work closely with local seniors & clubs, community groups, and partner organizations to deliver programs and services directly within the communities we serve. Through these collaborative partnerships, we are able to reach older adults in a variety of settings and create meaningful opportunities for connection, engagement, and support.
Our services are delivered through our Seniors Centre Without Walls (SCWW), an innovative model that allows seniors to participate in social, educational, and wellness activities. By fostering community connections, the Seniors Centre Without Walls helps reduce social isolation, promote well-being, and ensures that older adults remain connected to valuable resources and supportive networks.
